MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan feels that it is inappropriate that people associate Tamil star Dhanush, who has an effective body of work, just with the ‘Kolaveri Di’ song.

“He is a very dear friend of mine, Dhanush. Very famous and very prominent actor from Chennai. Off late, unfortunately they only seem to know him because of ‘Kolavari Di’

but, he has done great work down there. He is a wonderful actor,” Abhishek Bachchan said.

“Kolaveri Di” has got over 17 million hits on Youtube till now and Abhishek said these are the greatest hits of the year.

Abhishek said, “I think it’s outstanding and I think it’s wonderful because it has been made by two very dear friends of mine, Dhanush and his wife Aishwarya. I think it’s a fantastic song. He is a very talented guy and Anirudh, the music director has done a great job. I wish them all the best. It’s one of the greatest songs of the year.”

The “Kolaveri Di” man actor Dhanush gave a visit to Amitabh Bachchan’s place while in Mumbai to promote his film. His sweet motion touched Amitabh Bachchan so much that he said, “Dhanush ! Of “Why this Kolaveri Di” fame and star in his own right, visits the house to meet up. Simplicity in his demeanor! It is the simple things in life that build brilliance in creativity simplicity cannot be taught, it is inborn do not tamper with it.”

When “Kolaveri Di” from the Dhanush and Shruti Haasan starrre “3″ became a fury online overnight, Big B was one of the first to congratulate Dhanush as he posted, “Just heard ‘Kolaveri Di’ after much talk on it, its so original and catchy…congrats Dhanush and Aishwarya (Rajni’s daughter) .. love(sic)”.
