R-Power aims Rs 2000 crore green money from Tilaiya

According to the fresh business reports, the well-known company Reliance Power expects to earn Rs 2,000 crore by trading carbon credits from its Tilaiya ultra-mega power project during the first 10 years of plant’s operations.
The project, proposed to be built in Jharkhand, is expected to generate over 21 million carbon credits during the initial 10 years.
These can be traded under the Clean Development Mechanism regime and are valued at over Rs 2,000 crore. The project will supply power to 18 bulk consumers in 10 states.
